Crystal handmade her bouquet, weaving together brilliant spring flowers with handmade button medallions.

I LOVED Crystal’s rainbow-colored necklace! The bright, candy colors showed off her fun-loving personality perfectly.

February weather can be unpredictable around the lake. However, fluffy clouds and patches of blue sky made appearances throughout the day. What a gorgeous place to be married!

Their ceremony was very personal. They each wrote their own vows to each other and included some their favorite quotes: “Oh! The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss, the Apache wedding blessing and an awesome quote from Firefly! Yes, they quoted Firefly!

“Love. Can know all the math in the ‘verse but take a boat in the air that you don’t love? She’ll shake you off just as sure as a turn in the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down …tell you she’s hurting before she keens. Makes her a home.” – Capt. Malcolm Reynolds

Did I mention it was a windy day? Well, it was a windy day. Crystal and Matthew made the most of it by laughing it away. Aren’t they adorable?

These are Crystal’s handmade fabric + button flowers. They adorned all of the reception tables and then at the end of the day they were passed out for each guest to take home. I scored one too! So pretty! Crystal also gave us a locally-made jam from Confituras (which Jeremy happily kept for himself).

Tomie and Rusty are pretty awesome. They chose March 14th as their wedding date and their ceremony began at 1:59PM.  Put that together and you get 3.14159 ~ otherwise known as Pi. Yep, Pi. Their flower girls even had little Pi symbols on their baskets. Now that’s what I call mathematically adorable. ^_^

This is Tomie’s engagement ring. If you look closely, you’ll see that it is the “One Ring” from the Lord of the Rings. Pretty Awesome!

As they were pronounced husband and wife, this happened. So Tomie!

Now I must show you Rusty’s Pac-Man Groom’s Cake – complete with power pellets =)

Mel made these cute favor bags to hold different colors of chalk so guests could doodle after the ceremony.

I really liked Mel’s ensemble. (very cute)

One cool feature of the Irie Bean’s outdoor area is the cement mixer. It actually has a cutout in the middle so you can walk through it. Mel and Paul almost got married under it but the stage won out.

And this is Mel and Paul’s very short (but sweet) ceremony. Almost whirled by but we caught it! ^_^

Can anyone guess which comic book hero this pays tribute to? (Paul loves his comics!) =D

I have to say it. Mel is awesome. She baked her own fondant wedding cake. (awesome)

Remember those chalk favors? Well, a talented artist friend decided to create this masterpiece in celebration of their wedding. He titled it ~ The Marriage Dragon. Epic!

Mel loves chalk. Mel also loves the Irie Bean’s cement mixer. Prettiest mixer …ever

Shirley and Tony chose to have their pictures taken at the beginning of their day which gave them more time with their friends and family. It also let us capture this wonderful moment.

Shirley and Tony had their reception and cake cutting after the pictures and a quick rehearsal. Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves. What a great way to relax before the ceremony!

Since Tony is an independent filmmaker (UFO) and Shirley both acts and produces too, they had some very talented film and actor buds come to celebrate. We decided to unleash their creativity with Guest Cam!

Their poolside reception gave me a cool idea.

As dusk began to fall, a path marked by flickering candles led the way for their guests to the old shade tree. The lights and lanterns glimmered against the evening sky, setting the perfect scene for their ceremony.

Sparklers were handed out at the end of their ceremony to make the evening even more festive and fun!

And then it was time to end the night with a bang!
